Education in a Minor Key

This commentary considers whether educational research is suffering from a chronic case of worshipping and fetishizing codified, standardized research methodologies, suggesting that the goal of educational research is never to merely avoid error but to achieve insight; which requires educational imagination and a deep feeling for the phenomena that allows us to notice interesting details and pose productive questions.
