Zusammenfassung: | In many reports, NaNbO3 has been demonstrated to be a high efficiency photocatalyst for H2 generation in the UV region. Cobalt, Lanthanum and Iridium were used as dopants in NaNbO3 to improve the photocatalytic activity in the visible region. But there are no reports on the thermoelectric properties of this compound. In this report, we present out investigations on the thermoelectric properties (seebeck coefficient and thermoelectric power factor) of NaNbO3 in the orthorhombic phase. We have calculated the electronic band structure of NaNbO3 using the Full-Potential Linearized Augmented Plane-Wave method as implemented in WEIN2k code. We used the modified Becke-Johnson exchange correlation potential for the band structure calculation. The thermoelectric transport properties were calculated in the constant relaxation time approximation using the BoltzTraP code in the temperature range of 20 K to 600 K. |
