Zusammenfassung:The methanolic extract of leaves and acorns of cork oak tree was tested against 4th instar larvae of the mosquito Culiseta annulata Schrank, 1776. The obtained results indicated a sensitivity of Culiseta annulata larvae for the plant species aroused. This sensitivity is even higher when exposure of the larvae to insecticides is extended in time. Generates the greatest mortality rate 83% for 1g /l after 72 h of exposure against 39% for 1g /l after 24 h exposure for the extract of leaves and acorns of cork oak. For LC50 values,  leaves and acorns of cork oak acted at low concentrations with an LC50of 439mg /l after 72 h of exposure. thus, these findings can help in the development of alternatives to the chemical hazardous insecticide to the environment like the use of plants that are generally available and not toxic to the fauna and flora.
