Zusammenfassung: | Bioethanol is an alternative fuel for internal combustion engine which produces lower emission and higher octane number. One of bioethanol problem is the high latent heat of vaporization can induce running difficulties in cold conditions, especially cold start. To overcome this problem then bioethanol is heated on the nozzle tip. The heated injector is tested using an injector tester. The injector output temperature is maintained at temperature 50, 60 and 70°C with varying pressure and pulse width. The fuel used in this research is bioethanol E100 with a purity of 99.96%. Injector characteristics obtained from documentation using high-speed camera. The result of this research is by heating the fuel can cause the density of bioethanol to expand so that the mass flowing injector less. With the heater on the injector causes the spray characteristics become more refined which means the atomization of fuel with air to be better. |
