Zusammenfassung:The suitability of soft spinel ferrite materials for high frequency transformer core fabrication has been discussed along with the review of investigations carried out on different ferrite systems with substitution of high valence cations by group of the author. Further ongoing studies of Sm/Zr substituted Mg-Mn multi-ferroic system have been discussed besides these materials feasibility for power applications. Though the obtained results of magnetization and resistivity are not favorable for power applications, grain size values and ESR measurements seem to be good for decreasing eddy current loss. This will help in developing qualitative ferrite that can have compliance for power related devices development/application.
