Engine and Electric System of Training Vessel 'SHINYO MARU' of Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology

Training vessel of Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology, SHINYO MARU wascompleted at 31 March, 2016. The electric driven propulsion system in the vessel was equipped in orderto reduce underwater radiation noise from the vessel. These consist of two propulsion systems which iscomposed of the controllable pitch propeller, the propeller shaft, the reduction gear and the electricpropulsion motor. This paper described the outline of the propulsion system and their control system, theelectric power system and their control system.
