Zusammenfassung:A novel red persistent phosphor CdGeO 3 :Eu 3+ was prepared successfully via the traditional solid state reaction method and characterized by photoluminescence and long-lasting luminescence spectra. CdGeO 3 :Eu 3+ phosphor present a bright afterglow red emission and can last over 1 h. The optimal doping concentration of Eu 3+ for the long persistent luminescence is about 0.01. The persistent luminescence mechanism of CdGeO 3 :Eu 3+ is illustrated and discussed in detail on the basis of the experimental results.
