Zusammenfassung: | The article describes tumour‐like lesions in a Bronze Age skeleton from Southern Turkmenistan. The combination of pathological manifestations observed in the skeleton does not permit making exact conclusions. Based on the skeletal lesions, malignant bone tumour (chondrosarcoma or parosteal osteosarcoma) seems to be the most feasible diagnosis. If this diagnosis is correct, the skeleton represents one of the earliest cases of primary malignant tumours known to date. |
