Electron optical and X-ray powder diffraction study of synthetic and natural potassic cordierites

A study in which the microstructural and X-ray diffraction characteristics of natural potassium-bearing cordierites in buchites and paralavas were compared to those of three suites of synthetic, potassium-bearing magnesium cordierite is presented.
