Zusammenfassung: | The integration of the living history, public memory and the folk art of modern Canada in search for its authenticity is explored. If the dramatic changes have unfolded Canada in the modern period while turning the past for justification, consolation and affirmation, a sense of belongingness has been the core element of its continuity. Also highlighted is the universality of a historical event that is relatively uncommon while taking part on the preservation, dissemination and commemoration of the past. |
