Book Review: "More Market Plays" selected by John Kani; "Mooi Street and other Moves" by Paul Slabolepsky

Reviews two anthologies of South African theater: John Kani's collection of plays produced at the Market Theatre in Johannesburg which serves as a sequel to Stephen Gray's 1986 collection "Market Plays" (Ad Donker, 1994, 256p, SAR 50.95); and a collection of plays edited by Paul Slabolepsky (Witwatersrand University Press, 1994, 338p, SAR 70.00). Considers how the plays in both volumes deal with the lasting effects of apartheid and notes that Kani's collection focuses on plays of the 1980s while the latter volume features plays from the 1990s.
