Zusammenfassung:	Breast augmentation is by far one of the most common aesthetic procedures performed by plastic surgeons, and silicone implants are the most common prostheses used. Complications arising from the procedure are broadly categorized as either surgery or prosthesis related. Most of the complications are well known and have been documented, but areolar depigmentation after silicone gel prosthesis has not been reported to date.
