Zusammenfassung: | Instrumental monitoring carried out in geodynamic study regions either directly or indirectly indicates that, at local points of observations, deformations and stresses in the mountainous rocks increase before strong remote earthquakes. They are caused by short tectonic pulses propagating from the source region of the prepared earthquake. In this article, we show in the example of the results of two types of monitoring that the deformation effect recorded in mountainous rocks is secondary and can be considered as a short term precursor of an earthquake. |
