Formation conditions of the Tash-Yar zinc massive sulfide deposit, southern Urals

The Perm period was marked by intense plastic deformations in response to the Variscian collision in the end part of the Akhun Massif that acted as a giant buodine under latitudinal compression. They accompanied right lateral displacements along the near meridional zone that bordered the northern margin of the massif in the west. Development of steeply dipping NE trending extension fractures stimulated directed migration of hydrothermalmetamorphic fluids with formation of quartzsphalerite veins.
