On the Geometrical and Physical Meaning of Newton’s Solution to Kepler’s Problem

In the 1684 treatise De Motu, Isaac Newton focused on two problems: Problem A and Problem B. Hauser and Lang analyze Newton's solution to Problem B. Even though it seems as if Newton is concerned only with ellipses, his reasoning is nevertheless basically correct.
