Zusammenfassung:The Secure PC project has proved that a PC can be incorporated into a secure network environment. The extensive use of encryption for user authentication, data separation and system isolation overcomes many of the limitations of the PC-DOS environment. The incorporation of a chipcard to provide additional authentication as well as off-line operation parameters extends the access control of the system as well as allowing the PC workstations to be used in a controlled off-line situation.
