RECONSTRUCTING (NEO)CONFUCIANISM IN A "GLOCAL" POSTMODERN CULTURE CONTEXT

Confucianism has again been undergoing another major transformation as it had been in history, but in a different time and different context: The current global postmodern and postcolonial time and context. Therefore, although born in Chinese soil, it, as a powerful and resourceful cultural tradition, may be able to function effectively in current postrevolutionary or postsocialist China, when it dialogues with a great variety of Western postmodern theories.
