Zusammenfassung:Is learning facilitated by the CD-ROM format? I am known by colleagues to have rather basic computer skills and yet when faced with the choice of the several kilograms of print-out (undertaken by the same concerned colleagues) of the CD-- ROM or the CD-ROM itself (almost weightless) I have to admit that basic computer skills (with occasional prompts) are adequate to appreciate the stimulation and convenience of the CD-ROM. The hardware requirements are modest by today's standards. My fingers strayed to the print-out to check some of the many informative and significant sections, marked by my own paper tags (there seems no way of tagging on the CD-ROM). Also, a hard copy of some sections-eg, the compilation of medications-is of value and can be down-loaded for educational use without copyright infringement.
