Zusammenfassung:A method is proposed for preprinting treatment of nonwovens from synthetic thermoplastic fibres by brief thermal pressing to optimize dye consumption for labeling articles therefrom by ink-jet printing technique and attaching self-sticking labels bearing printing information. The macroeffects of interaction of water drops with nonwoven fabric containing polypropylene fibres involved in inversion of wettability of the material with progress of compaction of its structure are determined. The boundary conditions of the effectiveness of thermal pressing with simultaneous activation of the surface of the fibrous fabric by toluene for enhancing adhesion are established.
