Metabolism of both 4-cholorobenzoate and toluene under denitrifying conditions by a constructed bacterial strain

An experiment transferred the cloned 4-chlorobenzoate dehalogenase genes of the Pseudomonas strain CBS3 into strain T1. Results confirm that dechlorination and degradation of aromatic xenobiotics can be mediated by an oxygen-free pure culture.
