This is a very useful book on optimization techniques. It has been written primarily for graduate students and practicing engineers but management scientists will also profit from it. The book is a model of careful organization. This is due to the attention which Professor Pun gave to the problem of "matching optimally the author and the reader." In his preface the author tells us that he ascribed primary importance to the decision as to how long his book should be.
