An Alternative to Net Price: Assessing the Influence of Prices and Subsidies on Within-Year Persistence

Alternate approaches to specifying price variables are compared in analyses of the influence of prices on persistence. The findings indicate that students respond to a set of prices, rather than to a single net price.
