The CORUNA conference: The European plan of action for reinforcement of the knowledge base for ecologically stable management of the coastal zone (December 5–7, 2007, Paris, France)

A report on the ENCORA Conference, whose theme was the European Plan of Action for Reinforcement of the Knowledge Base for Ecologically Stable Management of the Coastal Zone, held in Paris from Dec 5-7, 2007, is presented. The Plan of Action emphasizes, among other things, that insufficient knowledge of the problems of the coastal zone by authorities, has hampered the ecologically stable complex management of the coastal zone.
