Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of 3-(1-Aryl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-1-(2-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)propan-1-ones

A number of novel 3-(1-aryl-1 H -1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-1-(2-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl) propan-1-ones has been synthesized from 2-(4-fluorophenyl)-1-(2-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)ethanone by its propargylation followed by the click reaction. Structures of all the newly synthesized compounds were characterized by 1 H and 13 C NMR, and Mass spectra. Their antimicrobial activity was evaluated.
