It now has fifty years of established institutional history, preserved in its international, national, and regional organizations; its archives; and its publishing arm. Rather, as A Companion to Popular Culture suggests in its many fine essays, we can now assert our intellectual prowess in a collective endeavor to promote and deepen the study of popular culture and the humanities at large. |
