Zusammenfassung: | Using optical‐domain compression with multiple sensor orientations, we demonstrate an approach capable of running full 6 degree of freedom (“6DOF”) visual SLAM at 1KHz with sub millisecond latency. Incorporating a custom‐designed optical compression module that maintains high unidirectional entropy, the system reduces the data flow by several orders of magnitude compared to conventional 2D and 3D image sensors. We present a novel positioning and localization system that is lightweight enough to perform high‐speed, low‐latency inside‐out tracking on mobile computing platforms without dedicated processing hardware. |
