Zusammenfassung:An intensification of edge radiation was observed at the three-pole superconducting wiggler section of the Saga Light Source storage ring. To observe the intensification at visible wavelengths clearly, we deliberately distorted the closed orbit using the dipole kick of a single steering magnet. The radiation intensity around the longitudinal axis of the wiggler section was about twice higher than the intensity of typical edge radiation from a single straight section of the same length. This effect was mainly understood as the field summation of edge radiations from straight subsections upstream and downstream of the wiggler. The wiggler was thought to operate as a simple spatial factor for the interference. The intensification effect is considered to be a general phenomenon of a straight section containing a three-pole wiggler and is thought to show potential for developing general methods for intensifying edge radiation.
