Zusammenfassung:We have investigated the scintillation and dosimetric properties of Tb-doped LiCaAlF6 single crystals. The X-ray-induced emission spectrum consisted of several sharp peaks due to the 4f-4f transitions of the Tb3+ ion. The thermoluminescence (TL) spectrum showed similar emission peaks as in those of the X-ray-induced luminescence. The TL intensity monotonically increased as a function of X-ray irradiation dose, and the dose response was demonstrated from 0.01 to 10 mGy. These results suggest that the Tb-doped LiCaAlF6 single crystal is a good candidate TL dosimeter material for low-dose applications.
