Zusammenfassung:Trigonometry is an important subject in the high school mathematics curriculum. Despite the importance of trigonometry and students' potential difficulties in learning it, relatively little research has focused on this subject. Here, Weber presents lessons learned from research investigating the learning and teaching of trigonometric functions. Furthermore, he reports the difficulties that the students have in understanding trigonometric functions and describes tested instructional strategies to help students overcome their difficulties.
