OBITUARY: Victor Bruce (1920-2009)

Feldman presents an obituary for physical scientist Victor Bruce, who passed away on May 29, 2009, at the age of 88 after a short battle with cancer. Bruce is a pioneer in the early days of circadian rhythm research. He was trained in engineering, earning an undergraduate degree at Caltech and his PhD from Stanford. His background in engineering led him to be among the first to consider clocks as oscillators and he developed some of the first oscillator models of clocks.
