Zusammenfassung: | [...]at our HSI we consider not just curricular topics we can include in our programs, but also the practices that reflect our Chicanx/ Latinx beliefs and rhetoric, as well as learning outcomes and assessments that utilize our HSI identity as part of our design methodology. From an administrative standpoint, Chicanx/Latinx writing programs and administrators can claim Chicanx/Latinx in a deliberate affiliative act that makes visible our commitment to purposefully disrupt what voices are allowed to be heard and to speak within our classrooms and departments, challenging all individuals to break molds and build alliances through shared knowledges and to create community within academic and localized spaces.According to a 2014 Pew Research Center Study, in 2014 35% of Latinos were enrolled in postsecondary education, which is 13% more than were enrolled in 1993. |
