Zusammenfassung:In Vagabondaggioyraw the early collection II gioco del rovescio, Tabucchi undertakes an oneiric and personal approach to the life and work of the Italian symbolist poet Dino Campana (1885-1932). The text is based on Nietzsche's aphorism "Reisende und ihre Grade" ('Menschliches, Allzumenschliches,), which establishes five categories of voyagers. Tabuchi uses these as stages in the protagonist's quest for personal aesthetics. The aesthetics itself alludes to major motives in Campana's masterpiece, Canti Orfici. [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
