Decreased myocardial blood flow as an isolated finding in Rb-82 PET myocardial perfusion scintigraphy
Objectives: Since 2014, Rubidium-82 PET myocardial perfusion scintigraphy (Rb-82 MPS) is performed in our institution. It allows quantification of myocardial blood flow (MBF), in contrast to conventional SPECT studies which rely on visual, semiquantitative reading. This study describes patients who...

Zusammenfassung: | Objectives: Since 2014, Rubidium-82 PET myocardial perfusion scintigraphy (Rb-82 MPS) is performed in our institution. It allows quantification of myocardial blood flow (MBF), in contrast to conventional SPECT studies which rely on visual, semiquantitative reading. This study describes patients who show decreased MBF in combination with visually normal uptake, in whom coronary perfusion abnormalities would not be detected with conventional studies. Methods: All patients who underwent Rb-82 MPS on clinical grounds between june 1st, 2015 and june 1st, 2016, and who had a visually normal rubidium uptake, were included. The subgroup with a stress MBF |
