Zusammenfassung:An abstract of a study by Touat et al identifying novel synthetic lethal therapeutic approach exploiting nuclear-mitochondrial crosstalk in ERCC1-deficient populations is presented. They found marked metabolic rewiring of ERCC1-deficient populations, including decreased NAMPT levels, decreased NAD+ levels and abnormalities in the tricarboxylic acid cycle.
