Zusammenfassung:This paper presents fishing and aquaculture activities in the world, their organization, the spaces where those activities are carried out and their recent development from a geographical perspective. First, we will make a presentation of fishing and aquaculture production in the world, of the areas and the countries where fishing is an important activity. Next, we will continue with the major factors causing the evolution of fishing spaces and activities, whether human or natural. Then, we will focus on fishermen and their link to the management of the natural environment with a view to maintaining the sustainability of fishing and aquaculture. Finally, we will present the organization of the supply chain of seafood products, their consumption and exports worldwide.
