Zusammenfassung: | For several generations the opinions of National Tax Association (NTA) professionals have been moderately important to the Democratic establishment, and for much of the 1980s, to the Republican establishment also. However, in light of the Republican victories in November, it appears that NTA opinion will not have so much influence on fiscal legislation in the next 2 years. The Republican's Contract with America is geared more toward public opinion rather than the opinion of tax professionals. An recent opinion survey of NTA members is discussed. |
