Zusammenfassung: | Management performance of condominium building projects is mainly assessed based on subjective judgment with limited objective evidence, thus calling into question the objective value of such assessments. The study utilizes data envelopment analysis (DEA) to assess management performance of 26 condominium building projects (decision making units; DMUs) in central Taiwan, from four dimensions (operational finance, management system, service quality, personnel quality) with eight input and five output items. Variable differential analysis is applied to improve efficiency by reducing the ratio of inputs for each project. Key influence of each dimension was identified using sensitivity analysis. Five benchmarked and five least efficient DMUs were identified. The approach provides a positive mechanism for facilitating the objective assessment of property management. The empirical outcomes provide managerial insights for assessing project performance efficiency. |
