Zusammenfassung:This investigation explored the use of peer tutoring for acquisition of functional math skills among students with moderate mental retardation. A multiple-baseline across subjects with changing criteria embedded in each leg indicated that peer tutoring was effective in teaching functional math skills. All students mastered the next dollar strategy through the peer tutoring method. Students were also able to generalize this skill to make actual purchases in consumer settings. Implications for current practice and future research are discussed.
