Zusammenfassung:The present investigation recorded male meiotic features on population basis, 30 species in tribe Paniceae belonging to family Poaceae. Four species shows new chromosome counts. These are Brachiaria distachya (n=16), B. ramosa (n=10), B. reptans (n=8), and Echinochloa stagnina (n=9) whereas, Paspalum paspaloides (n=30) shows abnormal meiotic behavior with low pollen fertility.
