EDITOR'S NOTE

Volume 7 of Cultural Intertexts - a Journal of Literature and Cultural Studies - includes articles by doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, presented at the fifth edition of the International Scientific Conference organized by the Doctoral Schools of "Dunărea de Jos" University of Galati (8-9 June 2017), section 6: "Cultural Spaces: Retrospective and Prospective Views", subsection 6.1.The literary and filmic corpus selected by the authors covers a wide range of voices and genres, and is analysed in view of foregrounding issues associated with identity, hybridity, memory, trauma, authorship and adaptation.
