Both purified human 1,N(6)-ethenoadenine-binding protein and purified human 3-methyladenine-DNA glycosylase act on 1,N(6)-ethenoadenine and 3-methyladenine
Cyclic DNA adducts, such as 1,N6-ethenoadenine, are produced by a variety of industrial and environmental chemicals. A study that showed that the properties of two glycosylases (human 1,N6-ethenoadenine-DNA glycosylase and m3A-DNA glycosylase) appear similar is presented.
