Zusammenfassung: | Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are a group of interrelated disorders includ- ing autistic disorder, Asperger's syn- drome, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS). Aspect's "working model" (see box, "Aspect Satellite Classroom Working Model Elements") in operation for 14 years, meets Batten et al .'s recommendations that children with ASD have access to a diverse range of mainstream and specialist educational provision, teachers in general education schools are provided with resources, ASD consultants and specialist teachers receive ASD-specific training, and students receive ASD-specific skills-based programs. |
