Structure and Properties of Superlow-Carbon Martensitic Steel after Controlled Rolling and Tempering

The influence of the tempering temperature on the structure, mechanical properties, and lowtemperature stability of superlow-carbon martensitic steel is investigated. Such steel is thermally stable up to 600°C. Tempering above 600°C somewhat reduces the strength and increases the impact strength and...

Zusammenfassung:The influence of the tempering temperature on the structure, mechanical properties, and lowtemperature stability of superlow-carbon martensitic steel is investigated. Such steel is thermally stable up to 600°C. Tempering above 600°C somewhat reduces the strength and increases the impact strength and cold strength on account of change in the dislocational structure and the deposition of carbide binder.
