Introduction: La gouvernance de la santé en Afrique : état des lieux

The theme of this issue entitled Governance of Public Health in Africa is part of CODESRIA's governance agenda. This theme was the subject of an international conference held in Dakar from Nov 19, 2015 to Nov 20, 2015. The texts in French relate to research conducted in eight African countries, namely Senegal, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Chad. Articles in English cover a variety of topics in Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, in Rwanda and South Africa. Two articles examine issues generally speaking of the continent: this is the gender dimension epidemics and challenges guaranteeing access to medicines after the Doha period. The theme proved to be transversal, which allowed participants to discuss various topics.
