Zusammenfassung: | [...] she examines the relationship between breakdown and breakthrough in regard to these film events, and follows Deleuze and Guattari against the selfdestruction and decadence of the (actual) breakdown and in favor of the active potential of the (virtual) breakthrough as experienced through films such as these. Because of its clear discussion of these films in the light of the larger issues of Deleuze/Guattarian ethics and politics, its concise articulation of the differences between psychoanalysis and pharmacoanalysis, and its reinvigorating cartography of Easy Rider and Requiem, this chapter should prove exceedingly valuable reading for students, theorists, critics, and filmmakers - as well as those who practice in all four areas. |
