Zusammenfassung: | Environmental philosophy is invitational: it invites thinking into life as well as life into thinking. Here, Klaver discusses several issues about environmental philosophy, stressing that its future lies precisely in the broad invitation and that it needs to occupy a profoundly interdisciplinary place, at the node of multiple institutions and practices. Among other observations, environmental philosophy is empirical philosophy dealing with big issues such as global warming, biodiversity, and sustainability, but always from concrete situations--questioning the ways one relates to the world, to the Earth. Thus, an environmental philosopher may participate, translate, and make connections, like an evolved role of endless invitation. |
