Lack of Genetic Association between CDHR3 and Human Rhinovirus C Infection in Hong Kong Children Hospitalized for Respiratory Tract Infections

RNA was extracted from their archived nasopharyngeal aspirate (NPA) samples for HRV detection and typing. cDNA was subjected to genotyping of 10 tagging single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) located within 5-kb both up-stream and down-stream from the top SNP rs6967330 of CDHR3 identified from a GWA...

Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:RNA was extracted from their archived nasopharyngeal aspirate (NPA) samples for HRV detection and typing. cDNA was subjected to genotyping of 10 tagging single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) located within 5-kb both up-stream and down-stream from the top SNP rs6967330 of CDHR3 identified from a GWAS by TaqMan assays. Univariate and logistic regression analyses were performed to detect any relationship between HRV-C infection and SNPs of CDHR3.
