This individual demonstrates absolute pitch ability and outstanding analytical capacities within the musical domain. It is argued that his musical information processing style might be accounted for by a tendency to focus on local rather than global aspects of musical stimuli, and in addition illustrates a case study of exceptional ability in the absence of 'musical talent'.
