Zusammenfassung:One of the most valuable sources for theatrological study is theatre posters, which give detailed information on all the basic data for individual performances. Only on this basis can one retrospectively set up a list of theatre repertoires, production overviews, staging teams and actor roles. From 1824 to the present day, the National Museum’s History of Theatre Department has managed a unique integrated set of First Czech Scene posters (Stavovské divadlo, Prozatímní divadlo, Národní divadlo in order). The second part of its collection comprises various posters for theatre groups within and outside Prague, both professional and amateur (the oldest from 1642). That section of the collection most exploited by researchers, and as such the most endangered, will be digitised and restored through the NAKI II (2016–2020) grant project.
