Zusammenfassung: | Identifying and classifying of landscapes are significant in terms of qualifying landscape types and determining priorities for nature conservation. For assessing landscape, various methods in the scope of landscape ecology have been introduced until today. One of them is SHE analysis that tests the relationship between S (species richness), H (information – the Shannon-Wiener diversity index) and E (evenness as measured using the Shannon-Wiener evenness index). This method aims to test the contribution of the concept of species number and equitability in diversity context. We focus on evaluating diversity of three overlapping landscape hubs that are randomly chosen located on the lower catchment of Great Meander River in the Western Anatolia. SHE analysis based on landscape character assessment was employed as an assessment tool in this study to make an integrated and innovative interpretation. |
